Oakland County, from Lake Orion to Royal Oak

Most of our work is in Oakland County. The communities that border Auburn Hills, like Rochester Hills, Pontiac, Orion Township, Lake Orion, Troy, Bloomfield Township and Rochester, are the closest. Beyond them we reach Birmingham, Royal Oak, Clawson, Madison Heights, Waterford and the townships that run north toward Oxford and Clarkston.

The county is not one kind of house. Downtown Rochester and Pontiac hold pre-1960 pipe, the subdivisions off the main roads are 1980s and 1990s plastic and copper, and the northern townships trade city water for private wells.

The west edge of Macomb County

Our Macomb County reach is its western side, nearest Auburn Hills: Sterling Heights, Shelby Township and Utica, out toward Washington and Macomb townships. These are booked ahead because of the drive, and they sit in the same Clinton River watershed, so the flood and sewer story carries across the county line.

Questions about our service area

How is your service area organized?

By distance from our Auburn Hills office. The cities that border us are the first ring and get the quickest scheduling. The next ring out and the wider area, including the townships to the north and the west side of Macomb County, we book ahead so we can plan the drive and bring the right parts.

Do you charge more for cities farther from Auburn Hills?

Travel is one of the honest factors in any job, and a city on the far edge of the area involves more of it than one next door. We are straight about that when you call and fold it into the scope before the work starts, rather than surprising you with it later.

Why don’t you list neighborhoods within Auburn Hills?

Because the plumbing follows the housing era and the water source, not the subdivision name. A page per neighborhood would repeat itself. The Auburn Hills homepage covers the city by the parts that actually differ, the old Auburn Heights core, the 1990s subdivisions, the condos near Oakland University and the I-75 corridor.
